Chris Windle of My Yorkshire Pubs Limited, Yorkshire has taken his sixth pub with Green King Pub Partners.
The multiple operator is expanding his portfolio with the Three Horseshoes in Headingley, Leeds. Through a £150,000 joint investment, the famous Otley Run venue has been converted into a music and sports pub, complete with big screens and décor that commemorates the local area's sporting history. A large ceiling mural, for example, depicts Headingley Stadium, and walls feature astro turf and football boot displays throughout.
Steve Look, operations director for Greene King Multiples division, commented: "Chris has been in the business for 42 years so he knows what he is doing. It's great doing business with a professional and we are looking forward to seeing the Three Horseshoes go from strength to strength."
The Your Friendly Local Group also operates the Droppingwell, Rotherham; the Liversedge in Liversedge; the Colin, Kimberworth; the Banner Cross, Sheffield; and the Cross Keyes in York.
